Laura's Birthday Card...

This is the huge (A4) card I've made for Grandma to give to Laura for her birthday next week. It has Laura's favourite ingredients - the colour pink and shoes!

I've made it using one of the super size decoupage sheets from Kanban. I feel quite guilty using these as most of the work is already done for you. Having said that because I buy them as seconds from the factory shop I have no idea how they are supposed to be made up when they are sold as kits and I have added my own touches such as the gems and peel offs.

Materials used:

  • Kanban decoupage and A3 Swirl patterned card

  • gems and peel offs from stash

  • white organza ribbon

Thank you for taking a look and have a great weekend everyone.

Well tea bag folding time! It's ages since I folded any of these - infact I had to get the book out and follow the folding instructions. It was just so relaxing - think there maybe more teabagging on the way soon!

Materials used:
  • black and purple card from stash
  • Kanban black and white designer paper
  • gems, sentiment and border peel offs from stash
  • Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder

Keep it simple...

Another quick posting - I'm back, but my friend has come back with me so obviously she doesn't want to spend hours waiting for me to finish blogging. This is a card that she asked me to make for her friends mum who is 90 on the 10th May. She is partially blind so I thought the lavender bag on the front of the card would be a nice touch.

It was a very, very simple card to do. The paper is a design by K&Co and already has the lilac, dragon fly and green border on it. To attach the lavender bag I just made to eyelet holes in the front of the card and thread the drawstrings through and tied on the inside of the card. That way she will be able to undo and perhaps put the bag in her drawer or wardrobe later. Peel offs for the sentiment and 'jobs a good un'.

My card is also for the challenge at the ABC challenge where they are on the letter K - Keep it simple!

Pink Elephant Challenge 12 - wow!!!

Just a quick scheduled posting today as I am going away for the weekend.

Challenge 12 at the Pink Elephant - can you believe that? I know I can't!

For my card this week I have used some fabbie card I bought at Wath Market (love my little craft stall - it's the Michaels of South Yorkshire - lol). I couldn't resist this card as it reminds so much of our blog design at the Pink Elephant.

The image is a stamp from a set by My Favourite things. I love their stamps - I must get some more. I did some paper piecing for the lady's dresses and canopy on the cafe. I also cut a frame on my Cricut and attached acetate to the frame to make a real window (well almost) effect.

Now what do you think the challenge at the Pink Elephant is this week?

Hmmmmmmm...

Could it be a 'friends' theme or using the colours pink and black? Could it be 'windows'?

I am feeling such a little tinker today (must be the excitement of going away for the weekend)! I'm not going to tell!

You'll have to slip over to the Pink Elephant to find out!!!

Thank you so much to great friends who have become followers of my blog. Love having you around.
