Flowers and Butterflies...

Phew made it by the skin of my teeth into the Playground at Pixie's Snippets Challenges and also into the first challenge at Butterfly Challenges.  Seeing as I must have hundreds of butterfly stamps and dies this may prove to be a challenge I join in with quite often.
To create my card I've used all the snippets left after making a Mother's Day card which I haven't put on my blog yet.  The paper is really gorgeous and is slightly glittered which makes it extra special.  The image is made up of a couple of clear stamps by Penny Black and the heart was cut out using one of the dies from my huge set of heart dies by Tonic.
Other challenges...
Have a good weekend everyone.  Sadly I'm still hospital visiting, but hopefully not for much longer.

Gutted missed the playground by 18 minutes - well at least I will be on the ball tomorrow.  Wonder if I could stay up late and post my card at midnight!!

Happy Valentine's Day...

Life's a bit rougher than normal at the moment, but I have managed to finish this card that my daughter ordered to send her husband.  I had to do something quick and something that didn't stretch my brain cells too much so I used Tonic dies to create the heart frame.  The beautiful Lavinia Stamps digi image was printed on acetate and then attached to some gorgeous glitter card I have that has a blue streak running through it.  Originally from Kanban many years ago.  I love it cause it has a gorgeous sky effect that is actually not showing up too well in the photo.
A little bit of extra fairy dust on the wings, a few gems and Bob's your Uncle jobs a good un and of course if you use digi images it's so easy to add a smaller version to the inside of your card too.
Hoping to get a little crafting done today before hospital visiting, but will have to get my skates on as time is flying by.
My card was created for this month's Lavinia Stamps Challenge where the theme is use blue or lilac.  I know there is a lot of black on my card, but I have used shades of petrol blue to mat and layer and to tone with the shade of blue on the glitter card.  Fingers crossed that my project counts!

Have a good weekend everyone.  Noticed I have gained a new follower, but couldn't work out who it was - anyway whoever you are thank you so much for adding me to your list.  I'm blown away that anyone would want to see my projects.
