These little books are selling like hot cakes at my daughter's work place, which is great cause it's bringing in lots of money for the Little Acorns night shelter in Goa. We've raised over a thousand pounds now - not all from my card making I better add, but every little helps as they say. We'll be handing the money over when we go on holiday.
The original book that I made for Laura which led to people asking to buy one had a paper clay sunflower on like the one in the middle of the photo, but these books have different flowers. The blue one is a wooden flower and the one on the left a paper one.
So glad I remembered the hundreds of ladybirds hiding in my stash from my Dawn Bibby days. You may have been there too - you know when you get brainwashed into buying the TSV and end up with 100 ladybirds in red and about another 200 in lime green that you have no idea what to do with, but Dawn said they were wonderful so you handed over your credit card details.
Anyway 10 years later the ladybirds have been used - only another 97 to go. Do you think I better stock up again?
The stamped elements are all from a lovely set of stamps by Inky Doodles and the various shades of blue card are all from my snippets box.

Oh my goodness this card has been voted as a pick of the week HERE - what a fantastic surprise - made my day - nope made my whole week!
This is my latest version using my lovely Coppernob shoe template. It's more or less the same design as in the post below, but more girly and with punched flowers rather than ones cut from the designer paper. The punched flower echoes the pattern of the designer paper by DCWV and I've added gems black fluffy feathers, a swirly die cut and some silver peel offs to trim the shoe. By printing the sentiments and name on acetate it doesn't how small the piece of card is or how thick the card. I attach the acetate by folding it around the small piece of card and sticking it down on the back. I like the slight bend you get on the acetate by happy accident.
I'm entering this card into Brenda's blog celebration as my second version of a card using one of my favourite craft items. If you haven't checked this out do pop over here to check it out. There are some fabulous prizes up for grabs and superb projects on show too.

One of my favourite blogs is Floral Fantasies where Brenda exhibits the most amazing cards. I just love 99% of the stuff she creates. She is celebrating her 5th blog anniversary and being ultra generous in the process as she has some amazing prizes up for grabs.
Brenda has a favourite stamp that she has used time and time again. It was even used on her first very first posted project. I dread to think what my first blog post was - I really daren't look.
Anyway less rambling to join in her event Brenda wants us to show a project using something that we come back to time and time again. Well, at the moment I would say that my shoe template that I bought years and years ago is something I would hate to loose. It always seems to reappear when someone wants a special card for an 18 or 21 year old. Would love to do a wedding card using it too, but not done that yet.
