Laura's Birthday Card from me!

This is the biggest card I have made - it's huge!!! Well A4 sized! I made it at the craft class I go to and I really can't take the credit for the design. That goes to Katie who runs the class and is a very talented card maker.
The body parts are made with DCWV paper and fastened together with cute button brads which means that the whole body is poseable. The hat is made using a peel off on glitter card and the bag is a folded glitter tag.
I hope Laura loves the card and as it fits the bill (black, pink, plus one other colour) for the challenge on http://rainbowladyschallengeblog.blogspot.com/ I hope Cynthia does too.
The pink is a much nicer shade in real life - the photo is abysmal - sorry!

A Man Card

This week's challenge at http://artygirlzchallengeblog.blogspot.com/ is 'open theme' so I'm taking the opportunity to show this card I made a little while ago. I have been crafting today, but can't show the results as it is for someone's birthday next week and has to be kept hush hush till then. It's took me about 6 hours already so I do hope both I and my friend like the finished card. At the moment it needs a little 'something'!

Anyway back to today's card...

I stamped the image which is from a set of stamps from the Stamp Man on to vellum using a variated Brilliance inkpad. Think the pad was called Tiramasu. This was then mounted on gold using two brads. The paper down one side is one from my paper stash.

A Christening Card

This is the first time I have been asked to do a Christening card and it gave me the perfect excuse to treat myself to the set of Christening stamps by Joanna Sheen. I've had my eye on them for quite a while. I think the dress is beautiful and there is also a line drawing type image of a church which I love too.

I stamped the dress on to white vellum in silver and embossed it with fine detail silver embossing powder. The image was then matt and layered on to pink and silver card and finally matted on to another layer on vellum on a silver card.

The challenge over at http://www.mytimetocraftchallenge.blogspot.com/ is babies so I think my Christening dress will count!

Black and white plus one!!!

This is a new challenge for me and comes from http://caardvarks.blogspot.com/. The challenge is to use black and white plus one other colour. There are some fabulous samples from the designers at cardvarks - really beautiful.
For my card I printed a very delicate silhouette image of a young romantic couple framed by branches on to acetate. Then I attached the acetate over the top of white glitter card using silver brads. The white glitter card has a blue cloud effect running through it - and is my one other colour.
I have an awful feeling that the silver peel offs might be cheating slightly but oh well I tried!!!

My Paper World Sketch 9 Baby Card

This card uses sketch 9 at http://mypaperworld.blogspot.com/. The image of the baby is one of my favourites and one which I've seen in lots of places and on lots of cards. The image and backing papers I used are from the Kiddiwinks CD by Ooh-la-la-creations.

Thank you so much to great friends who have become followers of my blog. Love having you around.
