Tilda Keyrings

Someone put the idea of shrinking Tilda into my head this morning and I couldn't resist having a go. One went straight on to my daughter's keyring and the pink one is for a friend at work who is also obsessed with Tilda and how cute she is.

Sketch Challenge 53

My second sketch challenge for the Card Positioning Systems Blog and as I had just received a circular stamp from an ebay purchase I decided to use it in this challenge. To be truthful I had forgotten that the challenge involved 'glitz and glitter' but luckily have used gold mirror card and sparkly paints anyway. The stamps are from a Wendy Rhodes sheet of unmounted stamps called the 'Art Nouveau Spring Collection'. I thought the stamps would lend themselves to being stamped in gold onto black. I've painted the images with Artquest Pearl Paints and matted and layered everything on to gold mirror card. In the end I think the card is okay but not over pleased with my results.
As usual my comment is 'It looks better in real life!!!'

Tilda - a Get Well Soon Challenge

This week the challenge on the Tilda & Co Challenge Blog was to make a Get Well Card. I used the Tilda stamp where Tilda has a flower garland over her head. I cut away the garland which left her hand free to hold a small bunch of paper flowers.

The papers are from a Making Memories pad.

Spring Friendship

This card was not so much done for a challenge as more a learning experience. I was sent an email by Cornish Heritage Farms with a link to a technique using water brush markers. I didn't have quite the right stamp or the same pens for following the technique to the letter, but had a lovely play with my Marvy le Plume pens. The layout of the card also follows the layout I used earlier in the week - CPS 52.

Thank you so much to great friends who have become followers of my blog. Love having you around.
