Happy New Year from Eli...

There was a rumble of discontent from some family members this Christmas due to them not receiving photo type cards. Last year I created cards with a Christmas bauble on with a photo of Eli inside.  Can't do with unhappy people so using Craft Artist and my new Dinomite digi kit from Daisytrail I put a very simple card together.
I love the bones frame in the kit - just perfect for a dinosaur loving little boy.
Hopefully I'll be back in favour when everyone gets their cards.  I know my mum cried when she got hers and I think it may be on the mantleshelf till next year now.
Challenges (although I don't think there will be many with a dinosaur theme - LOL) ...
Have a great weekend everyone.

oooh look new stamps...

I love sales especially craft ones.  Sir Stampalot have amazing sales and this year I jumped in there as soon as the sale started and bought all these lush stamps and a clear sheet of Penny Black delectables for only £21!!!  Aren't they just gorgeous?
If you've spotted a little cockerel and are wondering what on earth did she order that one for - I didn't - the one I did order was out of stock so the cockerel was a surprise replacement which at the price I paid I didn't mind at all.
My new plan of action is to display the stamps on one of my shelves until I actually get round to using them.  The container is one that came with a whole host of stamps many years ago.  Looking at it in the photo I think it's time to get the gesso out and do some altering.  Watch this space!
Have a good day all and I hope you can find some great bargains in the sales too.

Once upon a sketch....

Oh so long since I did a scrapbook page and I've so many gorgeous photos to use I must shake myself and get into action.  I love to use sketches when scrapping and always find amazing ones at Once upon a sketch where the layout for this Christmas page is this month's challenge.
My 12" by 12" page was created in Craft Artist using one of the digi kits by Daisytrail.  I've exported it in a low pixel count to put on here as I think it was my scrapbook pages that made Blogger throw a hissy fit and tell me I had run out of storage.  Hope the quality is good enough to view.
Other Challenges...
Have an amazing day everyone.

Happy New Year...

I am so disorganised that one or two or maybe more people didn't get a Christmas card from me yet!!  So I've done a job lot of little New Year cards to hopefully make up for being such a dumpling at delivering cards to some of my neighbours.
The image is a digi that I've had for a long time and used often.  I love it - I think it was by C.C. Designs but I can't find it on their website now so maybe it's been taken out of stock.
Challenges...
Happy New Year everyone.

A favourite thing...

I love making little altered note books especially for my daughter as she uses one all the time at work and I couldn't believe how much she was paying for them at stationery shops.  This one was made especially for her and then I had to do a duplicate for her to pop in a present for a friend as an extra surprise.
These little books are just perfect for using snippets of papers up and you can buy the basic notepad so cheaply too.  Mine were from Poundland and I think I got about 6 in a pack or maybe more.
On the inside front cover I like to add something to personalise the book so in this one I popped in some nursing quotes.

I can't remember who the stamp is by, but isn't she sweet?

Challenges...
Have a good day all.

Thank you everyone for such fabulous comments and Mary for reminding me that this stamp is by My Favourite Things.  I've actually found the packet now so the stamp has been returned to it's rightful place.  Such a cutie - bought for making Nurse's Day cards as since my daughter qualified she insists on that extra celebration.  Can't blame her - I keep trying for two Mother's Days but it's not worked so far.
