Bah! Humbug! Challenge 4...Baubles...

Well thank everyone who had a guess at my sneak peak yesterday - it was so much fun to see what you were all coming up with.  Colour schemes and fancy corners and all manner of challenges, but the only one to get it right (at the time of writing this) was Ann at Spirit of Creativity, who rightly suggested that our challenge was...

BAUBLES

Well done Ann - you can spend the rest of the day feeling really pleased with yourself now.  Just sorry there isn't a prize for you, but then again you never know what the postie might drop on your mat with all those birthday cards!
To create my bauble card I use some totally wow paper from Dovecraft that already had beautiful baubles on it. Unfortunately these are mostly hidden under the centre piece, but you can see them a little and get the idea.
All the other papers I used are by HOTP and DCWV.  The central bauble was cut on my Cricut and is one of the shapes on the Winter Cheer cartridge, which is full of gorgeous stuff and has been so useful over the last year.
After matting the bauble onto a white base card I added gemstones (my bargain ones from Poundland) and silver peel offs.  Then I added a bow and a couple of tags to complete the bauble.  As a final touch I added silver border and corner peel offs to draw the eyes in to the centre of the card.

In addition to being my card for the new challenge at Bah! Humbug! my card is also for the challenges at...
Have a fabulous weekend everyone and I do hope you are able to join us at Bah! Humbug! this week.  I don't know about anyone else, but I just feel so smug having all these Christmas cards done and it's not even February yet.  I must get my act together and do the inners as well!

Sneaky Peak...

How naughty am I?  Irene will kill me for giving out clues about tomorrow's new challenge at Bah! Humbug!  Hmmmmmmmmm wonder what it's going to be!  Answers on a post card please - only kidding if you want to take a guess just put your answer in the comment box.
No prizes though, but just think how clever you'll feel if you get the right answer!
My last day at work before a lovely long 3 day weekend - yeah!!!  Have a great day everyone - take care and have fun too.

Party Time...

Here's another card I made for our challenge at The Pink Elephant using one of the really 'sassy' images by Sassy Studio Designs.  This was definitely a card that really appealed to my daughter, Laura - well pink and cocktails what more could a girl want?  Well, okay maybe a Paul's Boutique handbag could be thrown in for good measure!

My card is also for the challenges at...
Still training at work and it's really hard going especially after having my gap year.  Not to worry two more days and it's the weekend.  Yeah!!

Top Tip Tuesday...

Over on Bah! Humbug! it's Top Tip Tuesday and it was my turn to add some tips.  Do pop over there, if you have time, to see what it's all about.  To accompany my tip I altered this plain red gift bag and made it into something with a bit more glitz and glamour.
The central snowflake is a Cuttlebug die and of course I used nesties to create the scalloped and plain circles for the matting and layering.  The tag is also a Spellbinder die.
My bag is also for the challenges at...
Have a great day everyone.

Pink Elephant Day...

This week at The Pink Elephant it's all about PINK (Laura had nothing to do with that choice, but she sure liked this card), SPOTS AND BOWS! What a cool combination and to make things even easier for me we are being sponsored by  Sassy Studio Designs.  'Sassy' is the perfect word to describe the designs available here and I was so lucky to receive a few of them to try out.
I really love this image and I'm sure it will be one I'll be using lots and lots in the future.
I used Promarkers to colour the image and added glitter.  The spotty papers and card are by Kanban.
The sketch I used is this week's challenge at Digital Tuesday - loved this sketch so easy to work with.

My card is also perfect for the challenges at...
Have a fab day everyone and don't forget to check out the other great samples by my talented team mates at The Pink Elephant.
