Skate boarding...

I recently bought this fabulous blue mirri card from the craft stall on my local market and was over the moon to discover it cuts like a dream on my Silhouette machine. 
To create this design I printed the sentiment on acetate and then attached the skate boarder and blue frame to the acetate.  This was then mounted onto embossed silver mirri card.  A very thin layer of black paper edges the silver just to make it pop.  I used the blue mirri card to cover a plain white card blank which became my base card.

Materials...

• Cutting files from Silhouette store - sorry no numbers, but if you put skate board in the search this design comes up.  The frame is also in the store, but would be fairly easy to create yourself if you had time.  I was just plain lazy.
• blue and silver mirri card
• A4 embossing folder
• black paper for matting
• acetate printed with sentiment
• white base card

A fun week ...

enjoying the sunshine and painting (the fence) so not much going on in the craft room.  I even forgot to remind you all about the new challenge starting at Aud Sentiments and that is unforgivable as it's a special week too!!
It's our fifth birthday celebration - wow five years of great challenges - unbelievable how fast time goes by.  To support our celebrations we have two great sponsors The Stamping Boutique and Doodle Pantry  so two great prizes on offer.  Hope you can find time to enter as we would love everyone to celebrate with us.  My project will be on show next week, but as you can see in the sneak peak photo it's a treasure!

90 years old and still counting!...

Today I'm showing a card I made recently for a sewing mad lady who has just reached her 90th birthday.  Wow to be still crafting at that age - wonderful.  
The main image is a Hunky Dory topper and the background paper is one I bought from the Silhouette Store.  I think they work together really well.

• brown card, gold mirri and cream base card

• sentiment printed on acetate and then attached to tags using brads
