Aud Sentiments Day again...

This time our challenge is 'Cute and a Sentiment' - an easy peasy one again.  Lots of people have already entered some stunning cards as we are on week 2 of our challenge, but there is still a whole week for you to take part.  Hope to see you there - there is always a prize for one lucky person.

We are being sponsored by Lacy Sunshine Stamps and the team were lucky enough to be able to choose a digi design from the store.  I chose Gemma Gerbera and had intended to add loads of die cut flowers, but had a change of plan and used a very busy designer paper instead and a simple organza bow for decoration.  The sentiment was done on my computer and printed out.

Another card for the birthday box.  I'm stunning myself with my organisational skills at the moment - if I could just remember to post the cards I'd be on a winner.

Anything goes challenges...

Have a brilliant day whatever you are up to.

Baby Dinosaur Poo!!

Well the dinosaur hunt went well yesterday as did the little surprise, pictured above, that I made for my dinosaur loving grandson.  He thought it was hilarious especially as Auntie Rachel had to try one first and proceeded to pull faces and really gag at how horrible the poo tasted.  Then it was my turn to try one and pretend they were horrible.  He nearly fell over laughing at our misery, but wouldn't try one himself so we had to come clean and fess up that it was only chocolate really.
The bag was inspired by all the really quite expensive for what they are boxes of seagull and sheep poo I saw on sale while on holiday last week.  My version was created using Craft Artist and a dinosaur themed digi kit.  I think I may make some smaller versions of these for the summer event at my mum's nursing home as I have a feeling they would sell really well.

Challenges...

Hope everyone is having a good day.  I'm off to do some crafting.

Alice in Wonderland

This is a card I made some time ago for a friend to give her daughter.  She wanted an Alice in Wonderland themed card and something big and special due to it being a special birthday.  I was  a bit stumped at first, but them remembered an Alice themed digi kit bought some time back which turned out to be just perfect to work with.

I decided to do a gatefold card using two of the main characters decoupaged onto the front.  Check out the hat detail - the girl's name is on the little tag in his hat.  I love the way you can plan things like that using Craft Artist.

This is the inside of the card complete with verse and a really funky Alice. The kit was by somebody called ChrisScrap or something like that!  I don't know whether it is still available or not, but when I got it you could buy the commercial license which I did because I used it to make some posters for a story event at the local library.
Not easy to see in the photo but the images are mounted on to black glitter card and silver mirri to add oomph!

Challenges...

  • Allsorts - Happy Birthday (Happy 6th Birthday to the team there - great challenges each and every time)
  • Polkadoodles - girlie but no pink - I think this card counts
  • Seize the Birthday - anything goes for a birthday
  • Scorepal - more than one score - lots of scoring done on the Scorepal to make this as not only is it a gatefold card I had to score pieces and attach them together to create the large black base card.  The box was made on the Scorepal also.
Well hope you like today's offering.  I was on holiday last week and today I'm going dinosaur hunting with my gorgeous grandchild.  I hope if we find one it's friendly!
Have a great day whatever you are up to and thank you for all the lovely comments on my cards 'n' stuff.
