Another card for the fund raising box...

This time I've aimed at a more general Valentine's Day card as not everybody is wildly in love and maybe/hopefully these more general cards, but still location based will sell well for the hospice.

Materials used...

  • map of area scanned and then printed on photo paper - had to glue pages together as sadly Mexborough was at the bottom of one page and top of another.
  • clear gems to accentuate the hearts
  • black card for matting and layering
  • white card base
Challenges...
Wow a lot of challenges linked today - I do hope I haven't broken any rules entering these.
Have a fantastic day everyone.  I'm off to do some more crafting.

Love is in the air again...

This is another of the cards I'm creating to raise funds for the local hospice.  After scanning an old map I'm using parts of it to create these very local cards for people.
Materials used...

  • Craft Artist software - digi kit with steampunk frame
  • photo paper, black card and old gold paper for mat and layering
  • cog die by Xcut
  • brad from stash
Challenges...All anything goes!
Have a fabulous day everyone and stay safe in the snow if it's coming down heavy where you are.

Love is in the air...

and it's nearly the end of January - so much for regular blogging again!!

Today sees me showing the first of I hope many cards that I'm creating to raise funds for the local hospice.  I saw a fabulous card on Pinterest where the crafter had used papers from an atlas and I just thought it was such an amazing idea.  I'm working on loads of variations on this theme and I'm really pleased with the way they are coming out so far.  Just hope other people like them too.

Materials used...

  • background paper from old atlas bought at charity shop
  • heart die cut and embossed
  • sentiment computer generated and printed on 'sea' part of page from atlas
  • white organza ribbon and white 5 by 5 card blank
Challenges...
Thank you for stopping by - hope you like what you see.  I'll be back tomorrow with another love themed card.
