Winter Scene...

A winter scene on the front of a simple shopping list book. These books are only about 15p at Wilkinsons and with just a decorated front they become something special - well I think they do.

I made this one at the Sheena Douglas workshop I went to a couple of weeks back. The sentiment is slightly crooked as there was so much going on and it's hard to concentrate on stamping straight with Sheena bursting with energy and enthusiasm right at the side of you. Anyone who has seen Sheena in action will understand I'm sure.

Since the workshop I've been wanting to do some more landscapes, but the right colour of Distress Ink - Faded Denim has proved really difficult to get hold of - even at the NEC nobody seemed to be selling Distress Inks and when I did find some they had sold out of that colour the day before. Will have to order some online!

Materials used:
  • Distress Inks - Faded Denim and Pine needles
  • Cut n Dry foam
  • Sheena Douglas scene stamps
  • white glaze Sakura pen and ultra fine glitter
Challenges:
Have a great day everyone. I'm hoping to make a really good start on Christmas cards today. I really wanted to yesterday, but started to sort out some papers and before I knew it I was buried under a sea of stuff that needed sorting.

Not to worry I've now found things that I didn't even know I had and some stuff that someone else must have bought cause it's really horrid!! The local nursery school will love it though.

When I went to our localish last stamping show a few months back distress inks were also thin on the ground. Not sure why?

The winter scene on this looks stunning Ann!
I'm just starting to try and use Distress Inks, not having too much success at the moment. I think I'm better with a pen than a brush!

This is soooo good Ann. I'm gping to have a go at this. I did try the winter background on a larger piece but I either need a lot more practise or some personal tuition. Any offers?

I'm sure the nursery will be grateful for all donations ... regardless of how horrid you think they are LOL! Hmmmm ... just hope it wasn't something I sent you ROFLOL!
Your notebook is lovely and yet again I find myself thinking I may have to 'steal' this idea. Just call me "Kleppie" from now on ...*wink*
