Love...

This is a card my daughter asked me to make for her to give to her boyfriend. She wanted a similar card to the one I showed yesterday but no pink and no cute girls!

The stamp I've used is a Magenta one and was part of a collection I bought very cheaply on ebay ( I love ebay).

On this card to do the charm I decided to try out die cut words and shrink plastic. This is one of the words from the Cuttlebug Love Combo set and as you can see it worked a treat.

At http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/ this week they are celebrating love and the challenge is to use the word 'love' on your card. Mine may be tiny but it's extra cute - well I think so!

Materials used:
  • Red pearlescent card

  • Black base card

  • Magenta stamp

  • Cuttlebug Love Combo Set

  • Wizard heart die

  • Shrink plastic

  • black organza ribbon and pearls from stash.

My card is also perfect for the challenge at http://caardvarks.blogspot.com/ where the theme is 'Hearts'.

Black and White

I love black and white - silhouettes - black and white papers -black and white pencil drawings I love them all. So naturally I really wanted to take part in the challenge on http://artygirlzchallengeblog.blogspot.com/. The challenge was to make a card, do a scrapbooking layout, Altered Art or anything else that took your fancy as long as it was in Black and White.

Well I decided to get out my shrink plastic and use my wonderful carnival mask stamp to work on the black and white theme. I really wanted to use the two masks on one card but the two plastics shrunk at a different rate and the black mask ended up quite a bit smaller. Hmmm worth remembering!!!

After shrinking and flattening the plastic I quickly (yes I did burn my fingers) wrapped it round a small bottle to get the curved effect. There is a lot of silicone glue holding those masks on -but they do seem to be holding firm.

Thank you so much to great friends who have become followers of my blog. Love having you around.
