The photo above shows the first page of the book which is fastened to the inside front cover with a flap and magnetic closure.
Opening the flap reveals this part of the book...
a double page spread with original photos from my grandparents wedding in the 1920s. Two of the photos are held in place by belly bands and I've attached tabs to the top of the photos to prevent too much handling. The photo corners are taken from an old album and reused.
Here are close ups of both pages...
Closing the page carefully - must admit I have made this all very bulky - good job the magnets are really strong ones takes us back to the photo from the top of this post.
To include all the photos I wanted to on this page I added a concertina effect attached by a hinge to the back of the first page. It opens out like this on one side...
and like this on the other side.
The cream paper is not attached fully as I need to add the journalling - trying to decide whether to handwrite or print on computer.
Hope you like what I have achieved so far - tons of pages still to do and will be adding to my blog as I go along.
Challenges...
- Craft My Life - anything but a card
- Crafting from the Heart - anything goes
- Craft your Passion - anything goes
- Not just Cards - anything goes
