Avoiding housework...

Well just a couple of weeks ago I discovered a far better way of dusting - Ink Dusters - and now better ironing!  I've been playing with wax and loving it.
These are my first works from an Encaustic Art class I went to yesterday and okay maybe not that wonderful, but I feel like a kid bringing a painting home from nursery and just have to show my work.  I'll keep the burn mark on my arm well hidden and next week I'll remember not to reach over a hot iron!

The one below went completely wrong when I polished it as I rubbed too hard and most of the wax came off, but I loved the misty effect and decided to stamp over it with a stamp of a log cabin that has been in my collection for years.  It still lacked something so I added a touch of glitter.
My daughter thinks it looks like a forest fire, but I'm not listening to her.  It's a magical morning in the midst of winter.  LOL!

I really want to add a unicorn to the first one so if anyone knows of a fab unicorn silhouette in digi format please let me know.

Have a fantastic day.

Even more surprises from Let's Ink it Up...

I love this bluebell set and couldn't resist adding it to my blog so that I can daydream about winning it by entering the blog candy draw number 2 at Let's Ink it Up.
The set of stamp is from AnnaBelle Stamps who are a new company to me, but I'm really glad to have found them as they have some rather nice stamp sets on offer as well as other crafting essentials.

Let's Ink It Up...
The new challenge where only real rubber (and hopefully clear stamps) are allowed sounds like it's going to be an interesting and fab new challenge blog.
They have blog candy to celebrate opening too - do go and visit to find our more details.
Have a great Monday.
