Remember a little while ago I was chosen for a Guest Designer spot at Crafter's Companion well the time has arrived for my first challenge card. This card was just so easy to create. I don't know about anyone else, but I find that if I have a great sketch to start me off the card just falls together. The sketch for the challenge this month is one by Bev and I'm sure it's one I will use again soon
To create the card I used one of the free paper sets at the Crafter's Companion web store. There are some really good sets available to download that include both patterned paper and other elements such as the roses and scalloped frame on this set. These are only available to members of the site, but it doesn't cost anything to join and is well worth doing. I do so love the word FREE!
The sentiment on my card was computer generated and as you can see I used a border punch to provide an accent and also added pearls on the scalloped frame.
Other challenges...
- Daring Cardmakers - Celebrating girlfriend's day
- Cute Card Thursday - cards that feature text
- Anything Goes Challenge - Punches

What a super card for your first GDT spot. Sort've reminds me of a set of K. & Co. papers I used to have.
I've a folder on the pc with loads of free downloads from Crafter's Companion, including this one - yes we ALL love that word FREE!

Ann - what a fantastic idea downloading the free papers from the download of the month and what a fantastic job you've done with them! Have you checked out August's papers yet! You're going to go bananas when you see them - they are just fabulous!
