Fancy Folding...

I absolutely love shutter cards - eversince I received a gorgeous one on my birthday (thank you Max - still treasuring it) I have been fascinated by them. I really thought they would be hard to do, but no they are really easy peasy and just so much fun to decorate.

This is a new baby card I made using one of the Lofty stamps from the Lofty Celebrations set by Joanna Sheen. As well as the main character in the set you get the little teddy, some sentiments and the oh so cute teething ring. All perfect for using on a shutter card as it gives you extra bits to fill the spaces.

As well as the stamps I used punched hearts in three sizes and the 'It's a boy' sentiment was cut on my Cricut machine.

The verse on the middle panel is a gorgeous quote stamp from a set by Cloud Nine design - such amazing words...

'The birth of your baby, a gift from above, will bring JOY to your life when showered with LOVE'.

My card to celebrate the birth of a new baby is for the challenge at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and for the challenge of 'folding up' at Daring Card Makers.

Pink Elephant Day...

Whenever I try to do something a bit different and have pictures at the side of my writing it always comes out all wrong so I'm very sorry if this post ends up all over the place. In my defence I tried and if it works well yeah 'clever me'!

This week at The Pink Elephant we are having a colour challenge and the colours are...

Purple, Orange, Black and White.

To me those colours just screamed Halloween, but I didn't feel like making a card so I went out and bought one of those bargain packs of several bars of chocolate and set about making special Halloween wrappers for them.

I did one with a witchy theme for the girls in the family, Laura and Shelley. Laura will go mad and say 'I want it in pink' I just know, but ah well I will just blame Ella at TPE!

The purple frame with it's spider web pattern is from PC Crafter clip art. Love their stuff. The 'Happy Halloween' sentiment is from a stamp set of tiny messages by Making Memories (I think!).

The witch, who is actually called Mrs Pepperpot (isn't she gorgeous?) is a free digi stamp from Two Scoops Rice Designs. I coloured her with Promarkers to match the clip art and my papers.

The other two chocolate bars are for the girl's boyfriends, James and Tony. On their wrappers a spooky bat makes an appearance from the clipart collection. The 'Boo' sentiment is a stamp from the same set as the 'Happy Halloween'.

All this chocolate around and I haven't had a single piece. My halo is shining brightly!!! Three stone lighter now and still shrinking - yeah!!! Thank you Slimming World!

Sunday Surprise...

Well here it is ... my secret revealed! Joni I wonder if you guessed - well at least your head can stop spinning now.
