Christening Cards in abundance...

Happy Sunday everyone.  I wish the sun was shining though instead of the rain rattling down the windows.  It's so dark too, but not to worry at least I've had a good day crafting making not one but two Christening cards.

The first one is an 8" by 8" card in pink so obviously for a cute little girl.
I used my new corner die which is one of the dies in the Molly Moo collection by Ali at Aly's Inkyfingers.  I saw the die at the Ross Papercraft Show last week, bought it - brought it home and promptly lost it in my tidying up session.  Disaster!  I was totally gutted as I loved the samples I saw at the show so much.  So (extravagantly) I ordered another die which I'm thinking of putting on a chain so it doesn't disappear into the black hole!!

I don't want to loose it again as I want to put Aly's ideas into action as well as my own.

The central focal point is an ornate cross cut out on my Silhouette - Design ID #63533 by Elizabeth Mayne. Love this design as it has 3 layers to really make it stand out from the crowd.

Card number 2 is a smaller simpler version basically using all the snippets left from making the large card. This time I added more gems and a sentiment.

Materials...

  • Pink, white and silver mirri card
  • Silhouette cutting file - ornate cross
  • Corner die by Molly Moo - available at Ali's Inky Fingers
  • gemstones
  • A4 dots embossing folder

New Baby...

While I was using my silhouette the other week I cut loads of bits and bobs out and stashed them in a box to made up into cards at a later date.  This is one of the finished works - a very quick and simple baby card. The file is one from the Silhouette Store and is so useful.
The design is by Daniela Angelova and is Design ID #46676 in the store.
I simply cut it out - mat and layered it on to white card and mirri - added some gems and job's a good un!

A cute card to have in the card box for those need a card now moments.

My halo is shining...

I've finally finished tidying and sorting the final wardrobe in my craft room. Oh boy it has taken some time!!  I still need to do some decent labels as my printer decided it didn't want to do any work yesterday so I've just made some temporary hand written labels while I sort out what's ailing my printer.

It was sheer bliss crafting this morning and being able to find things straight away.  I used punches that I haven't used since buying (if then) and even got out the big machine for applying eyelets - sheesh every time I use that I have to read the instructions again.  Must use it more often cause it actually does quite a good job.
Made quite a few projects, but will have to keep a couple of them secret for a little while.  Hoping to join in some challenges again now and enjoy using all the stash I can now access without doing myself an injury.
