Happy Easter...

Oh my mirri card is hard to get a photo of!!  Love using it though, but the cards when photographed always have spooky images of the photographer mirrored in them.  Not good.

The image on this card was from a Hunky Dory assorted pack and it doesn't really show in the photo, but it is actually decoupaged.  Another quick and easy card.  I seem to be getting very lazy in my old age.

Materials used...
  • Hunky Dory image sheet
  • cream pearlescent card - gold mirri card and cream pearl 8 by 8 base card
  • Marianne tag die
  • A4 Swiss Dots folder
  • organza ribbon

Thanks for dropping by and hope you like what you see.
Have a great day.

Easter cute and cuddly...

Just a quick card I made today ready for Easter.  I don't really send that many Easter cards, but with all the cute bunnies around I've been tempted by both the stamps and the cutting files at the Silhouette Store.  Today's card is a cutting file one which was so easy to make and quick too.  I've decoupaged the rabbit to give the card a little depth and added gems, a sentiment and an organza bow.  Silver border and corner peel offs add a little bit more interest, but all in all a very simple card to complete.

A little holiday...

Just had a wonderful five days away in the Isle of Wight which has made me a little late announcing our new challenge at Aud Sentiments.  This time we have a super easy challenge - 'anything goes' - as long as you include a sentiment.

There is a great sponsor again too - Lacy Sunshine Stamps - with a fab prize on offer for one lucky person so do pop over and check out the challenge.

My official project will be on show next week, but I'm taking this opportunity to show another butterfly birthday card I made recently.  I really am loving using my Silhouette machine at the moment.  This paper cut butterfly was yet another file I bought in the recent sale at the Silhouette Store and I love it. My sentiment was printed out on card in a long strip and then mat and layered on silver mirri card.  I also printed 'sister' and '70th' on card and then used a tag die to cut out these and added them to each side of the butterfly.

Materials...

  • cutting file from Silhouette Store
  • computer generated sentiments
  • tag die
  • organza ribbon and gems
  • blue pearl card and silver mirri
  • A4 dots embossing folder
