With love...

This is one of my favourite Pollycraft stamps (although I actually love all their designs) mainly because the little sign is blank and you get three different messages in the set to use - 'with love', 'for you' and 'thank you'. All really useful and the girl is so cute too.

Hopefully my card fits quite a few challenges as my main challenge this week has been to try and transform my jungle back into a garden! Why do shrubs take absolutely no notice of their own labels? You know the ones attached to the pots that say things like 'minature plant' '2ft x 3ft' and then a couple of years later you wonder who planted that 7 foot monstrousity in the border.

Anyway on to the challenges...

Materials used:

  • Promarkers
  • Cuttlebug border die
  • Pollycraft stamp set
  • small heart punch
  • green and pink card and gems from stash

Clevers Corners Part 2...

In my last post I mentioned that I would have liked to have added ribbon to my card, but hadn't got anywhere near the right shade. Well my blogging/forum friend Ali left me a comment suggesting staining white or light coloured ribbon with the ink pad used for the stamping.

What a brilliant idea and it works really well - thank you so much Ali for this great tip.

Clever Corners...

My first card using the wonderful corner stamps by Clarity Stamps. They are just so much fun to use. I spent hours making all kinds of patterns before finally putting this very simple card together.
I would have loved to add ribbon to the card, but after searching supplies couldn't find any in the shade I wanted - time for a shopping trip methinks.
The leafy frame is actually made by using the leafy corner stamp 8 times to create the frame pattern - only possible with clear stamps. The background paper is one from the vintage range by Kanban.

Thank you so much to great friends who have become followers of my blog. Love having you around.
