It's Saturday and that means it's time for a new challenge at My Time to Craft and this week our theme is FAIRIES - ooooooooooooh time to get out your magical stamps such as Stunning Sweet Pea stamps (as used on my card), Luscious Lavinia and not forgetting Lovely Lilli of the Valley plus so many others.
Come on show us what you have. We all love fairies.
To create my card I made myself a background using a Craft Artist digi kit and as the gorgeous Sweet Pea fairy is also a digi I was able to play around with the positioning and size before printing it out on white card ready to be coloured with my Promarkers. I also used Craft Artist to plan the position of the sentiment before printing it onto a sheet of acetate.
The acetate was attached to the background and then the fairy positioned on top using foam pads to give a little depth. The whole thing was mounted onto card and then attached to the front of a small scalloped edge card. I added a ribbon down the side and a made with love charm.
Other Challenge...
Have a fantastic weekend everyone. I'm hoping to do some more crafting on an amazing book I started on a two day course by Tony Darrock. I will be posting photos eventually, but in the meantime if you want to see her stunning design check out this video on you tube - she is such a clever lady.

This is card order made for one of my daughter's workmates. I had to make it really fast as it had to be delivered today - eeeeeeeeeeeek!
Thankfully my printer worked and my new Joanna Sheen CD Rom bought as a bargain offer recently came good and I found a gardening image just bursting with flowers. A little bit of mat and layering and biff bash bosh jobs a good un or at least a reasonable card anyway.
I took all the images into Craft Artist software to plan the design and only printed the images I needed. Using the punch feature I was able to punch out matching paper for the sentiments and using the cut out studio I was able to create decoupage layers in the right size. Without Craft Artist I would be really like a crafter with a hand tied behind her back.

I am so enjoying my time as guest designer at My Time to Craft. This week's challenge of all white except the image really stretched my brain as I had loads of ideas, but couldn't decide which one to go with. In the end I used my Silhouette machine to create this star shaped card and then added a cute stamped Penny Black hedgehog to the middle.
The fancy cut out part of the star was attached to the main body with foam strips to give it depth. A bit fiddly, but worth it I think.
The image was coloured using Spectrum Noir pencils and then chalked around the edges. I seem to be doing quite well lately in getting ahead with my Christmas cards. Hope to continue as last year was a bit hectic to say the least.
Additional Challenges...
Have a good weekend everyone and do pop over to MTTC to see the fab projects by the rest of the team too.
