I've made a couple of new cards, but most of these cards have been taken from my card box. They are all going to be sent to Kirsty Wiseman who is organising a massive appeal for cards to be sent out to our troops. I found out about this from my dear friend, Max, who has also sent a collection of her cards as has another close friend, Irene. Basically Kirsty wants to send the cards to our troops, currently serving abroad, so that they have something nice to send to their loved ones back home. Hmmmm that's why I made a couple of romantic cards - I'm thinking along the lines of cards for girl friends and wives, but really any kind of cards would be suitable as I'm sure they will need cards for all the members of their families.

It is indeed a worthwhile cause Ann and I'm so pleased that both you and Irene have been kind enough to spare some of your gorgeous cards for Kirsty to send abroad to men and women who're serving abroad and have no access to such things. You're absolutely right that any kind of card will be most appreciated by them, but I understand there's recently been a special appeal for 'Get Well' cards to send to their injured and wounded friends. It will be interesting to find out how many cards will actually be sent when the April deadline comes. So far the response has been pretty amazing I think.
