Spring Bunny...

Just a quick post this morning as I need to get off to work.  Seem to be having a 'green' week at the moment as yet another card ended up with me using green card and paper this time from a set by Making Memories.  The stamp of course is a Penny Black and was coloured using my daughter's box of crayons and Sansador.  The pink was a bit scratchy but I'm still loving this method of colouring.  Three days without touching my Promarkers - sheesh!!

Forever Friends...

A tiny card to send to one of my bestest friends.  She'll laugh when she gets this cause inside alongside the personal message it says PS: - not so keen on your dress!!  LOL.

I'm posting this a day early as I have such an early start in the morning and I don't want to miss out on entering my card in the new challenge at Totally Paper Crafts.  This is a new challenge blog that I think is going to become one of my favourites as their motto is to have fun and when you think about that's what crafting is all about or should be.

Of course I think I've managed to cover one or two other challenges too which are...

• Sweet Sketch Wednesday - love their sketches - thank you Irene for telling me about them.
• C.R.A.F.T. - paper piecing - my second lot of piecing this week - I really like the effect you can achieve.
• Raise the Bar - old paper - mine is paper/card from a Making Memories pad that I have had ages, but still love.

Whoops forgot to say the image is from one of the free stamps given on the Craft Stamper magazine ages ago.  Well worth watching out for these at the shows as sometimes they have a bin and you can buy 5 or more for only £1.

Pink, brown and white at the Pink Elephant...

This week at The Pink Elephant we have a colour challenge and our colours are PINK - BROWN AND WHITE! A great combination.

Tilda is back...

Seems like ages since I used this Magnolia image and it's one of my favourites. I don't really know who the card is for, but I seem to have made loads recently with the 'Happy Everything' sentiment by Making Memories. It's just right for 'anytime' cards and I'm sure one of my friends will like it.


Challenges:

• Papertake Weekly - 'Use your scraps' - I hadn't actually intended to use scraps when I started this card, but I pulled out a Making Memories paper pad to use and found lots of bits in from the last card I made. The Swiss Dots border was already embossed and had obviously been cut off a larger piece and the plain lilac background actually has two holes in it underneath all that matting and layering.
• Sunday Cutie Sunday - provided the fabulous sketch.

It's Pink Elephant Day...

Brown, Pink and Green - a stunning combination.

Do take a look at the amazing work by the rest of the design team as they have all worked their own little bit of magic with these three colours.

For my card I chose vintage paper by Making Memories and a small lady stamp which I think is from a collection by Frances Naeve at Hearts in Touch.

I coloured the image with Derwent Inktense pencil crayons and a Sakura clear stardust pen. A couple of pink gems added to the glamour of the dress.

Pink Elephant Day...

I love Mondays especially when the sun is shining like today and maybe Spring is not really that far away, but one of my favourite things about Mondays is that it's time for a new challenge at the Pink Elephant.

This week sees our very first 'RECIPE' challenge where we give you ingredients to use on your card from our very own Ella's kitchen.

This week the ingredients are ...

Diecuts and Ribbon

As you can see on my card I've used square die cut charms and ribbon threaded and tied through the button embellishment. I've also used ribbon to embellish the stamped sentiment on the front of my card.

The stamped flower and small flower pots are from a set of 12 really cute stamps by Personal Impressions called Hearts and Flowers.

This is the inside of my card showing the decorated panel and the panel to write a message to the recipient.

The front of my card is cut short to reaveal the decorated panel.

The square die cut charms are from a set of 4 called charms by Cuttlebug.

I stamped the images on to white and then coloured them using Derwent Inktense watercolour crayons.

On the front of the card I have used a wonderful sentiment from a Hero Arts stamp, matted this on to silver and then embellished with white organza ribbon.

All the papers used are by Making Memories and the border was created using the Martha Stewart Lace Doily punch.

Bird Challenge - with Tilda

The challengs on http://rainbowladyschallengeblog.blogspot.com/ this week was Birds! Everytime I have used this Magnolia stamp of Tilda holding a bird I seem to have chopped the bird off and put something else in it's place so just for once the bird has been kept.

The image is coloured with water colour crayons but to be truthful I never touched them with a brush as I quite liked the effect of the crayons by themselves.

The sketch is an Ismaki from a little while back. The papers are from a pad by Making Memories which has a whole of group of papers in that all co-ordinate beautifully - makes putting papers together sooooooooooooo easy.

Flap card

I made this card for the Monthly Challenge on the MSN group I belong to. The original instructions and idea came from http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/flap_card. I ended up making my own measurements as I wanted the card to fit an envelope I already had and to hold stamped images to send to a friend.

The paper used is from Making Memories and the stamp is one by Great Impressions. I used Pearlex Pastel watercolours to paint the image. The message stamps are from a great set of message stamps by Heidi Grace.

Sorry about the scissors holding the flap down. I hadn't got any magnets and my velcro fasteners are black and would have looked awful on the card!!!
